Meet our host retreat center:

Sacred Heart Jesuit Silent Retreat House

Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House is located in Sedalia, Colorado. Sitting on 280 acres of land, it offers a place for individuals to connect with God while engaging in the ancient discipline of silence and solitude.

For over fifty years, people of every faith and walk of life have come to the Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House. The retreat house was founded in October 1959 by Fr. Raphael C. McCarthy, S.J., and offers a variety of silent retreats for clergy, religious, and laity.

The retreat house is a roman catholic retreat house and the individual retreats are done out of the Ignatian tradition. Everything that Sacred Heart offers is inspired by the vision expressed in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.

Sacred Heart welcomes all who come to deepen their knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and of their ecclesial traditions through retreats and other means of spiritual growth. Retreats are open to all regardless of parish or faith affiliation.

CCU Silent Retreat

The CCU silent retreat is designed to give students the ability to step away from the stress of life and connect with God in a manner that is entirely different from their experiences before. The price for each student to spend three nights at Sacred Heart is $330 - a significant amount for any student, particularly those paying their own way through college. By donating to the Silent Retreat fund, you are helping send a student to the retreat and supporting their spiritual growth and development.
